The Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) has warned of another possible heavy rainfall from Dec 28 throughout New Year counting down. the forecast is said to affect areas around coast zone including Dar es salaam, Pwani, Mtwara, Lindi and Unguja Island.
On press released issued to different media outlet, TMA Acting Director General, Dr Agnes Kijazi, advised responsible authorities to observe necessary precaution and be prepared for another possible flash floods. Dar was hard hit by floods in the past few days and 23 people announced dead while hundreds left homeless and damaged infrastructure followed by heavy rainfall.
